Björn Nyström is a Project Manager at the Unit for Global Partnerships at Uppsala University. Undergraduate and graduate studies in Japanese linguistics and Political Science at Kyoto University and Tokyo University of Foreign Studies in Japan led him to managing student exchange agreements with Asia and Oceania before transitioning into EU project management. Since 2018, he has managed capacity building projects with focus graduate employability in Vietnam, pedagogical development in the European Universities Network ENLIGHT, as well as the international innovation project Erasmus+ SkillMill. Combining career-counselling methodology with game design to innovate practices on international soft skills recognition and pedagogics, this project has won wide international recognition from higher education organizations and stakeholders in more than 15 countries.
